If you are not a Harry Potter fan, do not read this post, or look at the images! Just kidding……however this wedding was a perfect combination of Victoria’s OBSESSION with everything Harry Potter, and classic, wedding elegance!
Victoria and her gorgeous bride’s maids got ready at The Pine in Petaluma, a perfect place for brides and bridesmaids to get their hair and make-up done while relaxing in their modern, and fun atmosphere. As you walked in, the room was buzzing with excitement, and there was a table holding glasses of champagne, Harry Potter books, candles and wands! So fun!
Jonathan and his guys hung out a family home watching football, drinking some beers, and then it was family photo time before heading out to their wedding venue: Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, CA.
In front of a gazebo, covered with white and purple flowers, Victoria and Jonathan said their I Do’s. I’m pretty sure everyone in was in awe seeing Victoria walk down the aisle. She stunned everyone with her AMAZING dress; cream with accents of black. She was stunning. Annnnnndddd, she carried a bouquet of “flowers” made from pages from Harry Potter books! So unique and personal!
The ceremony was quick, to the point, but filled with lots of love, special touches, and of course….wands!! Wands were handed out, with the message to “Cast of Spell of Love and Magic Throughout the Night!” Their officiant lifted his wand above them at the end of the ceremony before pronouncing them husband and wife. All of the guests lifted their wands up into the air as well. It was, well….MAGICAL!
After some family and bridal party photos during cocktail hour, Victoria and Jonathan made their grand entrance with their bridal party. Their first time being introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Castora! I love the table decor; tall floral arrangements with white and purple flowers, including tall black, winding branches that pulled together the Harry Potter theme.
Dinner was served, friends and family made some beautiful speeches, and then it was first dance time. I always love capturing the first dance as the bride and groom are relaxed by this point. Just enjoying the moment, and loving the fact that they are finally married!
Then, it was cake cutting time! A beautiful 3 tiered cake with accents of purple and black provided by Carolyn with Your Sweet Expectations. The party carried on from there with music provided by Alex with Perfect Day Events. The Photo Booth they provided was a hit!
Such a wonderful couple, and a wonderful wedding. I’m always honored when a couple trusts me to tell the story of their most important day through my camera lens. It is a privilege I take very serious, as well as pour my heart into! I love getting to know my brides and grooms through our meetings, emails, engagement sessions, and also spending the day with them throughout their wedding. Sometimes I think, “I can’t believe I get paid to do this!” 😉 And, it was a pleasure getting to know Victoria and Jonathan. Maybe one day we can do a Harry Potter newborn session together…. wink, wink ;)!!!
A huge congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Castora!!
