When I first met Eric and Kristen, I knew they had to hire me 😉 No really, they did because I loved being around the two of them-they are both so in love with one another! It radiated off of them! On top of that, we personally had a few things in common. The two met through a popular dating site (like my husband and I did), and Eric is a Marine (like my husband)! I hoped and prayed they would hire me because they are just the type of bride and groom I love to work with. Fortunately, they did hire me, and below are some of my favorite images through the day.
Their wedding was filled with LOTS of love, emotion and a few happy tears. There were lots of sentimental aspects to their day which was a pleasure to capture. So hold on to your tissues and take a look at their amazing wedding day!
I love a bride who has a laid back style! Kristen walked down the aisle in pink flip flops!
Gorgeous flowers provided by the bride’s friend Jenny Powers with Oh So Lovely Floral Design.
It was important to Kristen and Eric to capture the moments when gifts were exchanged, both between the two of them, and Kristen and her dad as well! She chose to exchange gifts with her dad, BEFORE getting her eye make-up done because she knew there would be some tears! Her dad gifted her the most beautiful necklace made from diamonds of her late family members.
The house at Sova Gardens in such a gorgeous backdrop for photos!
Such a great color choice of lavender and yellow! Eric was looking handsome!
My favorite moment of the day, Eric whipped out his cell phone to take a quick selfie of the new Mr. & Mrs. Casteel at the end of the ceremony! During cocktail hour we headed over to the front porch for some bridal party and family photos……..
Amazing food provided by Lombardi’s Gourmet Deli & BBQ. (I was seriously so excited when I heard they were catering the wedding!) Look at the gorgeous cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres!
Dinner was delicious, and the atmosphere provided at Sova Garden was not only beautiful, but romantic as well as the sun set over Kristen, Eric and their guests. Everyone was laughing, taking pictures with the disposable cameras set-up on the tables and just having a fun time!
What a beautiful cake provided by Jennifer Carson of Sonoma Cake Creations!I loved the lace, burlap and purple ribbon!
They knew how to cut the cake and have fun feeding one another! Annnnnd, Eric had a groom’s cake, which was an ice-cream cake decorated with a campfire theme! He proposed to Kristen while camping around the campfire!
So, the story to go with the photos below: Kristen’s father passed out mini bottle of Johnny Walker when she was born instead of the traditional cigar. He saved 2 bottle’s for the day Kristen got married. One for him, and one for her husband! They also used shot glasses representing their heritage!
The party lasted well into the night with great music provided by, no other than Noel with Perfect Day Events.
Kristen and Eric, I want to wish you both the happiest life together. I KNOW, the two of you will live a very long, and very happy life together creating beautiful memories!
I’m so very honored to have captured your special day! It was such an amazing wedding from start to finish! Thank you! Semper Fi!
